Kenny Noyes: “Starting to get the hang of it now!” Kenny Noyes, on only his second day of combined MotoGP/Moto2 testing at Valencia on the Antonio Banderas Racing Harris 600 Moto2 prototype took a second off his best time from yesterday in spite of turning very few laps as the team worked through many suspension and geometry changes trying to suit two riders with very different riding styles,. Kenny has been racing 1000cc Extreme bikes for the past few years while teammate Joan Olive is a 125cc rider with several years of Grand Prix experience. At the end of the second day, the fastest Moto2 time, 1:37.279, went to Toni Elias, and Kenny was second with a time of 1:37.881 on the Harris. Most MotoGP teams are leaving, but the team will take advantage of the final morning session in order to continue working on chassis adjustments. Unlike the MotoGP teams, there is no winter testing ban for the new Moto2 class and Antonio Banderas Racing will undertake eight tests over the next five months as the team prepares for the opening round on the World Championship on April 11. Kenny Noyes quotes: Moto2 Day 2 Second best time: 1:37.881 “We spent a lot of time in the pits today exploring some of the wide possibilities of this bike. This is not our definitive frame yet so we are doing what we can with the current frame. We can´t really do too much because Joan and I have very different riding styles, so we looking for some general settings that are a compromise for both of us. I am having to change the way I enter corners. I am still squaring them off too much when I need to carry higher corner speed and make a later apex. When I got out today the track was a little cool so I hope to get some time on a warmer track around noon tomorrow. This bike is really a lot of fun to ride and we are just starting to understand it.” Moto2 Times (tranponder timing) 1. Toni Elias (Gresini-Moriwaki) 1:37.279 2. Kenny Noyes (Antonio Banderas-Harris) 1:37.881 3. Xavier Simeon (Gresini-Moriwaki) 1:38.979 4. Joan Olive (Antonio Banderas-Harris) 1:39.266 5. Axel Pons (Pons-Kalex) 1:39.900
