Brett McCormick and BMW Canadian Superbike Champions Since his first Pro Superbike victory in 2008 at the age of 17, Brett McCormick has dominated the Canadian Superbike series taking the checkered flag 1st in an incredible 12 of 15 races. The 2011 season has been especially satisfying with Brett winning 6 of 7 races while claiming the Canadian Superbike Championship. It is the first Canadian Superbike Championship for both Brett and BMW. “I couldn’t have planned a better birthday party,” said Brett, who celebrated his 20th birthday on Saturday, August 20th. “Clinching the title with a win was epic! With such a huge points lead I could have cruised around for the title, but that’s not how I wanted to do it. The fans come out to see the riders do their best and put on a great show and that’s what they got!” Brett’s first superbike title was the culmination of a lot of hard work and an awesome motorcycle. “I’ve got to thank Chris Duff and Norm Wells for having faith in giving me this chance with BMW. The BMW S1000RR is an amazing machine, and with Patrice Goyette building and setting it up for me, we showed what it was capable of. I also have to thank Scott Cameron, Richard Jackson, and Dave Pcenicni, Shauna Duff, Mike and Cindy Ferreira, Roger and Mathieu Goyette and everyone who helped out or pitched in this year. Huge thanks to trainer Jason Weber for making me a machine. Also a big shout out to Shoei Helmets and Joe Rocket Canada for the safest and most comfortable protection out there!” Brett McCormick’s amazing season was made possible by: BMW Motorrad Canada Shoei Helmets Joe Rocket Canada Blackfoot Motosports University of Saskatchewan Human Performance Center Pirelli 66 GraphX.com Fromthefeetup.ca radX Hindle Acceleration Racing
