Chris Huth, general manager for Willow Springs International Raceway had this to say about the recent track improvements, ” As asphalt ages, gaps appear in the aggregate, and can make the track surface rougher. We took an asphalt grinder to the track surface and ground down the bumps that were appearing, and then applied a sealer to the whole surface to fill in the gaps in the aggregate and smooth then entire surface. In my opinion, that track surface has been vastly improved, and is proving to give the racers faster lap times as well. From the feedback I have received from our recent improvement, the racers are very happy with the newly groomed surface.” Shandra Crawford, the series organizer had this to say, ” I would really like to thank the sponsors for giving such generous prizes to the class champions this year. I would especially like to thank Rich Oliver and Rich Oliver’s Mystery School for giving a Pro Camp to the Overall State Champion, and a Two-day Mystery School to each one of the class winners. His support of the event this year has been awesome. I would also like to thank GoPro for giving something to every class winner, as well as Cortech Boots & Gloves, and RK Excel Chain for giving something to the class participants. Finally, but definitely not least, I would like to thank Dunlop again for their generous support this year to sponsor the series.” Pre-entry for the event is now open, entry forms are available here: ~https://my.wsmcracing.com/ti/wsmc/content/iIPKmGjC.html?id=2KyRggGT~ .Should you have questions about race entry, contact WSMC at 661-256-1234.
