2007 DUCATI MULTISTRADA 1100 AND 1100 S ANNOUNCED FOR NORTH AMERICA Multistrada 1100 gains horsepower and smoother power delivery Cupertino, CA (September 18, 2006) The introduction of the Multistrada family in 2003 created a new generation of modern sport bikes. Capable of excelling in any road condition, the Multistrada perfectly blends the aggressive handling of a modern sport bike with a smooth and relaxed riding position. For 2007, the Multistrada receives significant upgrades, including a potent new 1100 Desmo L twin engine, a wet clutch that has a lighter pull, comfort enhancing vibration-isolated handlebars and a new maintenance program that reduces servicing costs by as much as 50%. The new 1100 Desmo L-Twin engine delivers smoother, more tractable power and produces 95 HP at 7750 rpm and 76 lb-ft of torque at 4750 rpm. The unmistakable Ducati trellis frame and fully-adjustable suspension make the bike adaptable to any road condition and every riding style. Developed on the winding mountain roads and city streets of Italy, the Multistrada is a real-world motorcycle for real-world riders – a high performance sport bike that doesn’t compromise comfort, versatility or practicality. Building on the innovations that defined a totally new market segment, the 1100 is the latest evolution of the Multistrada concept. For those riders who demand the ultimate in sports performance, the Multistrada 1100 S features 43mm Öhlins forks, a fully adjustable Öhlins rear shock with remote preload adjustment and other component upgrades to ensure performance reminiscent of a Superbike. The 2007 Multistrada 1100 and 1100 S are available now in dealerships and have MSRPs of $11,995 USD ($14,995 CND) and $13,995 USD ($17,995 CND), respectively.
