Millennium Technologies/KWR ready for season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park

MACEDON, N.Y. — The Millennium Technologies/KWR team heads to New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J. this weekend for the final round of the 2016 MotoAmerica series. The Wyman brothers, Kyle and Travis, will take home field advantage in their respective classes and look to finish off the season on a high note.

Eldest brother Kyle sits 13th in overall series points in Superbike with a best finish of 4th this season, and has his sights set on a podium result on a familiar stage.

“I’m excited to have another round at New Jersey this year,” Kyle said. “The first one was wet and cold, and the weather for this weekend looks dry and sunny. Of all the tracks on the MotoAmerica schedule, I probably have as many laps at New Jersey as all the others combined. It certainly helps, and I know my Millennium Technologies R1 is the right tool for the job.”

In 2015, Wyman earned his only podium finish of the season in the Superstock 1000 class aboard his R1. In 2014, he won the final round of the AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Series. The New Jersey finale has always brought good results to the KWR team.

“New Jersey in September always seems like the time that things come together for me and the team,” Wyman added. “We have had some great results this year, and I want things to come together earlier, but I feel like our preparation is there again and there’s no reason we can’t come away with our best finishes of the season again.”

Travis Wyman looks to wrap up 2nd place points finish in Superstock 600

For the KWR Superstock 600 effort, younger brother Travis Wyman will compete again at New Jersey Motorsports Park aboard his Millennium Technologies/Next Level Cycles R6. Wyman sits 2nd in series points standings with only this final event to go, but the gap is only 6 points to third.

“I’m looking forward to New Jersey again for another go this year,” Travis said. “My goal is to fight for race wins again, to finish on the podium in both races, and put ourselves in a position to wrap up second place in the championship.”

Wyman has earned one victory this season, which came at Road America. High hopes for more victories are present in the KWR camp at New Jersey.

“I’m just going to go out there and fight tooth and nail,” Travis added. “The competition is very high in our class, especially sharing the track with Supersport, so I’m going to push hard and see if we can’t go with those guys and gather the points we need to reach our goal.”

LIVE coverage of the MotoAmerica series begins at 2:00pm EST Saturday September 10th on BEIN Sports USA for Superbike Superpole Qualifying, followed immediately by Supersport/Superstock 600 race one. Both Superbike races will be covered LIVE on Bein Sports USA Sunday, September 11th at 12:30pm and 4:00pm EST respectively.

HOLLAND, Mich. (Sept. 8, 2016) — This weekend Riders Discount/Tuned Racing is heading to New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey for the final round of the MotoAmerica Superstock 600 Championship. Rider Bryce Prince secured the championship title at Utah Motorsports Campus.

“After taking a long break between Laguna and New Jersey, I’m ready to be back on the bike,” said Prince. “It’s the last race of the season, and since we wrapped up the championship we will have no other pressure but to win. New Jersey is one of my favorite tracks, and I look forward to being back and trying to run up front!”

Laguna Seca did not go as planned for rider Jason Aguilar, due to a highside in the corkscrew during warm-up that inhibited him from racing. Currently tenth in the Superstock 600 point standings, Aguilar is looking forward to racing this weekend in New Jersey.

“My recovery has gone well and I’m finally walking again after the Barber and Laguna crashes,” said Aguilar. “I’m looking forward to getting back on the bike and seeing how my head and foot are throughout a session. We plan on doing the best we can under our circumstances and having some fun while we’re at. I can’t thank everyone enough for staying behind me throughout the injuries this season.”
