THE PRAMAC RACING TEAM IN THE LAND OF KANGAROOS FOR THE LAST ASIAN GRAND PRIX Sunday will take place on Philip Island’s track in Australia, the last of three consecutive Grands Prix between Asia and Oceania. The Australian Grand Prix comes just after the Grand Prix of Japan and Malaysia raced in the first two weeks of this month. By far one of the race months longer and harder in sports terms for the Pramac Racing Team who had collected just seven points in two World Championship races. It has to been say, however, that the riders and to whole the Team have committed themselves to the end to try to conquer good positions, but unfortunately during the last Malaysian Grand Prix, the unfortunate race of Aleix Espargar, who crashed on lap seven from the starting line when he was having a good lap pace and Mika Kallio’s shoulder pain which prevented him from giving his best has not allowed them both to get better positions. With three races to the end of the Championship, every opportunity will be used in the best way by the Team to allow both riders to fi ght for top positions. Sunday’s race will be the sixteenth MotoGP Grand Prix to be race on Philip Island’s track, the twenty-second of its kind in Australia that also has six races on Eastern Creek track in the past. The Pramac Racing Team haven’t got excellent result in the past in Australia having conquer here only two fifth places, both with Barros in the 2007 and in the 2004. In recent years, the best result on the ocean track of the Team is the ninth-place conquer by Mika Kallio last year, when he was called as the only rider to defend the Team colors. If the shoulder of Finn rider would allow him to lead his bike in the best way, Mika might be protagonist of a good race on this track where he was able to win two podium in the past, a second and third place respectively in the 125 cc and a 250 cc. Aleix has scored here a ninth-place on this track in the 2008 while he was riding a 250 cc, while last year he did not take part in the MotoGP race, then he comes here as a co mplete rookie on this track in this category, and like in other tracks he will soon learn the line to follow to be fast since Friday afternoon. We have also been unlucky for Aleix’s fall while he was significantly lowering his lap time. I feel sorry for Mika who fought until the end to try to not finish the race in the last position, but his shoulder pain did not allow him to do more of what he have done.
