California State Championship Announces Sponsors For 2011 New sponsors will be on board for the 2011 California State Championship motorcycle road racing series, which will once again consist of three race events at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, Infineon Raceway and Willow Springs International Raceway. The Willow Springs Motorcycle Club (WSMC), AFM and WERA West each will host a round of the championship series, in which Expert racers over 16 will compete for the Overall California State Championship and class championships. Dunlop will be returning as the title sponsor for 2011. The new class added for 2011 will be Open Superbike, and Woodcraft-CFM has signed on as sponsor for the class. Additional new series sponsors are: Pilot leathers, Zero Gravity windscreens and GoPro cameras. Returning series sponsors include Motion Pro, the Yamaha Champions Riding School, VP fuels, Factory Body Works, LeoVince exhausts, Driven, Galfer, Safari Cycle, GPR stabilizers, Catalyst Reaction suspension, and RK Excel chains. The Sacramento Kings are also offering a California State Championship VIP ticket discount to racers during the “off season” to any Sacramento Kings game. For schedule and seats, click the Kings logo on the CSC web site’s front page to be taken directly to the tickets. Licenses will be available starting January 5 for $70, and will cover reciprocity for the racer’s “away” races on the Championship race weekends. Racers are also eligible to run in all the regular club races their motorcycle is legal for in addition to the California State Championship classes. At each round, the host sanctioning body’s regulations will be in effect. Racers with a California State Championship license are also eligible to win hosting club’s contingency, prizes, and cash awards offered that weekend. California State Championship licenses include a metal hard card license, racer listing on website, product discounts and support from the series sponsors, and a series T-shirt. Novice racers can purchase a $30 Novice Affiliate Membership which qualifies them for sponsorship support from the series sponsors.
