Moriwaki Engineering MD600 Moto2 Prototype Wins Japanese National 250cc Race

Moriwaki Engineering test rider Shogo Moriwaki rode a MD600 Moto2 prototype racebike to victory in its racing debut during a 250cc Japanese National event Sunday, September 27 at Okayama. After qualifying on pole position with a time of 1:31.915, 1.1 seconds faster than the fastest 250cc rider (Yoichi Ui, 1:33.025), Moriwaki went on to win the 15-lap race by just over seven seconds. Seijin Oikawa finished second on a Yamaha TZ250, just 0.5 second ahead of Ui, who also rode a TZ250.
