Motegi Twin-Ring Will Host Japanese Grand Prix Through 2013

Mobilityland, the company which owns and manages Twin Ring Motegi, confirmed a deal today with MotoGP World Championship commercial rights-holders Dorna Sports to host the series at the track until 2013. Motegi celebrates its tenth consecutive MotoGP race this weekend, and President of Mobilityland Satoshi Dobashi and Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta signed a deal which will keep Motegi as the home of the Japanese Grand Prix for another five years. In 2009 the Japanese Grand Prix will be held at the Twin Ring Motegi from April 24th to 26th. President of Mobilityland, Mr. Dobashi, commented, “We are very pleased to continue hosting the world’s top motorcycle sports event, MotoGP, at Twin Ring Motegi. I deeply thank the many fans that come to this circuit as well as all of those involved in the production of this annual event, for your fantastic support.”
