The MG Cup Program Pays AHRMA/WSMC Moto Guzzi Racers over $2000 in 2006. MG Cup to Continue in 2007! With the conclusion of the AHRMA (American Historic Motorcycle Racing Association) Barber Motorsports event on October 22, 2006, the end of the 2006 racing season is upon us. Guzzitech.com is proud to announce that our grass roots effort to support Moto Guzzi club racing in the US has been wildly successful in 2006. Guzzitech has distributed a total of $2000 for over 40 Moto Guzzi podium finishes with AHRMA and WSMC (Willow Springs Motorcycle Club) in 2006. Thanks to an early cash commitment by MG Cycle of Albany, Wisconsin, we are very proud to announce that the program will continue for the 2007 racing season! We would also like to announce that three of the beneficiaries of the contingency program ended up with national and regional championships: Will Harding, 1976 Lemans 1st place Overall, 2006, Vintage Superbike Heavyweight #1 Plate! 1st place Masters of the Midwest Regional, 2006,Vintage Superbike Heavyweight 1st place, Best of the West Regional, 2006,Vintage Superbike Heavyweight Andrew Cowell, 1995 Sport1100 2nd place Overall, 2006, BOTT F1 3rd place Overall, 2006, BOTT F2 1st place Masters of the Midwest Regional, 2006, BOTT F1 1st place, Best of the West Regional, 2006, BOTT F2 Sean Fader, 1982 V65 2nd place, Best of the West Regional, 2006,Vintage Superbike Lightweight The MG Cup will continue to pay racers of Moto Guzzi Motorcycles $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place, $25 for 3rd place for race wins on any Moto Guzzi. Contingency prizes are awarded for any class in AHRMA and WSMC. These awards are intended to demonstrate that Guzzis win races!
