MOTO-ST motorcycles are sharing Miami-Homestead Speedway with Grand-Am cars this weekend and the cars are definitely in the spotlight. On Friday, various car classes practiced from 11:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. After the track was swept to remove pieces of rubber and other debris (commonly called “marbles”) from the track surface, MOTO-ST motorcycles practiced from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, the first practice session is for MOTO-ST motorcycles, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Car qualifying then takes over the track from 11:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. At 4:00 p.m. the 500-kilometer/316-lap MOTO-ST race starts. Sunday features car practice and two 400-kilometer car races, with no motorcycle activity.
