MOTO-ST Riders Join Charity Event At Inaugural Daytona 8-Hour

Endurance Riders to Compete at Famed Daytona International Speedway and Participate in Charity Event for Betty Jane France’s Suite Dreams Project in the process Daytona Beach, Fla. On Oct. 21 at 1 p.m., TeamHurtByAccident.com will compete in the inaugural MOTO-ST Series, 8 Hours of Daytona in conjunction with the Daytona International Speedway’s annual Fall Cycle Scene weekend. Riders for TeamHurtByAccident.com say the event will be an unforgettable experience for the new MOTO-ST Series, which kicks off its first full season in March at DIS during Daytona 200 Week By Honda. “I’m excited to be given the chance to race 8 hours at the prestigious Daytona International Speedway and also help lay the ground work for the new MOTO-ST series,” said team member Mark Crozier of Palm Coast, Fla., who holds four national endurance titles. “I am also pleased to have the chance to ride with such a good team.” TeamHurtByAccident will campaign two bikes; bike one will be fielded by riders Mark Crozier, Nathan Dressman and Nicole Hoffman sponsored by Jostens, Inc. and Czaia & Gallagher, P.A.; bike two will be fielded by riders CJ Czaia, Ben Matheson and John Linder also sponsored by TeamHurtByAccident.com. Riders will be competing for $100,000 in purse and lap money on Oct. 21, however, the night before riders will participate in a parade lap for charity to support Betty Jane France’s Suite Dreams Project. The parade lap for charity will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20, as part of the Monster Dash event followed by a festivities and live music in the NEXTEL FANZONE and the BUDWEISER BISTRO. “We’re looking forward to this unique charity event the night before the race” said CJ Czaia, “It gives the team a chance to get involved in the other activities during Biketoberfest, and gives us the opportunity through Betty Jane France’s Suite Dreams Project to help make a difference in the lives of seriously ill children in Central Florida.” Tickets will be available Oct. 19 to Oct. 20 at the Daytona International Speedway. Competed in 2005 in the ASRA Team Challenge at Daytona, finishing 2nd in GT Lights on a Suzuki SV650. “This will be my first real endurance race and I am proud to represent Jostens and Czaia & Gallagher. This will be a great series and Daytona has always been my favorite event I feel right at home here.” NATHAN DRESSMAN of Berkley, MI, is a 7-time WERA regional champ and a winning national endurance team owner. Strength: versatility from racing to equipment design and team promotion. “This race should provide a nice segue into the ‘off season’ as the challenges that come with 10 rounds of championship competition will have ended the week before.
