Moto2: Acosta Crashes, Still Takes Pole Position At Red Bull Ring

Pedro Acosta claimed pole position during Moto2 World Championship qualifying Saturday at Red Bull Ring, in Spielberg, Austria. Acosta crashed his Red Bull KTM Ajo Kalex early in Qualifying Two, got back to the pits, and then went out and turned a 1:34.040 that secured pole position.

Ai Ogura qualified second with a 1:34.311 on his Idemitsu Honda Team Asia Kalex, and Celestino Vietti was third-fastest with a 1:34.445 on his Fantic Racing Kalex.

American Joe Roberts qualified 21st with a 1:35.304 on his Italtrans Racing Kalex.

American Sean Dylan Kelly (SDK) is not riding in Austria as he is still recovering from arm surgery, according to his American Racing Team.
