Moto2: Aldeguer Breaks Lap Record Friday Afternoon At COTA

Fermin Aldeguer was quickest during Moto2 World Championship Practice One Friday afternoon at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), in Austin, Texas. Riding his Beta Tools SpeedUp Boscoscuro, the young Spaniard lapped the 3.4-mile (5.5 km) road course in 2:08.359, which not only topped the 29-rider field it also broke Cameron Beaubier’s All-Time Lap Record of 2:08.751 from 2022.

Sergio Garcia was the best of the rest with a 2:08.641 on his MT Helmets – MSI Boscoscuro, and Dennis Foggia was third-fastest with a time of 2:08.729 on his Italtrans Racing Kalex.

American Joe Roberts finished the session in 14th with a time of 2:09.263 on his OnlyFans American Racing Team Kalex.

The top 18 riders in the session were covered by less than 1.2 seconds.
