New beginnings, innovations and confirmations for the 2019 season of the Sky Racing Team VR46, which continues its project of growth and valorization of young talents of Italian motorcycling supporting them on both aspects, human and sporting side, of their growth. A goal achieved with Francesco Bagnaia, who with the Sky Racing Team VR46 raced in Moto3 and then in Moto2, before arriving in MotoGP where next year he will ride the Ducati of Team Alma Pramac Racing.

For the 2019 season, the Team born in 2014 from the partnership between Sky and the VR46, will be on the starting grid with great ambitions, both in Moto2 and Moto3, thanks to the passion and the professionalism of its crew, the talent of the riders and under the guidance of the Team Manager Pablo Nieto.

For the third consecutive year, the lineup of the Team is composed by four riders in two categories: Nicolò Bulega will join Luca Marini in Moto2 on Kalex, while Celestino Vietti Ramus will debut in the World Championship alongside Dennis Foggia in Moto3 on KTM.

MOTO2 – A new challenge awaits Nicolò Bulega, who will share the Moto2 garage with Luca Marini confirmed in the intermediate category for achieving ambitious goals in 2019. Luca is one of the most convincing and competitive riders of the season so far with three podiums in a row. Nicolò, after having made his debut in the World Championship with the Sky Racing Team VR46 in Moto3 in 2016, continues his natural growth path jumping in a category that is better suited to his technical and physical characteristics.

“After three seasons in Moto3, I’m ready to join this new adventure, full of expectations and motivations – said Bulega – I’ll give my best and I’m really happy to have at my side, once again in a key moment of my career, the Sky Racing Team VR46. I will continue to stay focused on the current season, but I can not wait to get on the new bike”.

MOTO3 – From the CEV to the World Championship: after two seasons with the Sky VR46 Junior Team, Celestino Vietti Ramus will arrive in Moto3. The 16 years old, will repeat the same steps of his team-mate Dennis Foggia who made his debut in the World Championship in 2018 after having dressed the colors of the Junior Team. In the VR46 Riders Academy since 2015, Celestino is currently in tenth place in the FIM CEV standings with a third place in Barcelona as the best result of the season so far.

“Every young rider dreams of having this kind support and making his debut in the Championship in one of the best teams in the category. After two seasons in the CEV with the Junior Team, where I grew up, I gained experience thanks to the competence and professionalism of my crew, it’s time to take this step and join the new challenge together with Sky and the VR46 Riders Academy. I’m really happy, a lot of work will be waiting me, the effort required will be really important, but it’s a great opportunity “. – said Vietti.

At his side, for the second year on the starting grid of the Moto3 World Championship, Dennis Foggia for confirming all the good things he has shown in the current season.

The Team Manager Pablo Nieto: “Thanks to Pecco, we have achieved our goal and, next year, for the first time a rider grown up in the Sky Racing Team VR46 will debut in MotoGP with a very competitive bike and Team. It was a great result for all of us, we have celebrated it, we have enjoyed this great satisfaction, but at the same time, this pushes us to move forward and continue to support the young Italian riders of our team with the same passion and professionalism. We have achieve an important result thanks to the effort of all the crew and this has to motivate us to continue in this direction without leaving any detail to chance. For this reason, to give new life to our project, alongside the confirmed Luca Marini and Dennis Foggia, we have decided to invest into two rookies. On one hand, in Moto2, Nicolò will debut in the upper category with many expectations, riding a bike that it will best suit on his physical characteristics and with which he can express his full potential. On the other hand, Celestino will join the Moto3 Team, after a two-year experience with the Junior Team. He is young, but ready to jump in the World Championship and motivated to give his 100%. From a technical point of view, we have made a choice that menas stability considering the relationships of mutual trust that, over the years, we have built with KTM and Kalex “.
