Moto2: Dixon Earns Pole Position In The Rain In India

Jake Dixon earned pole position during wet Moto2 qualifying Saturday at the IndianOil Grand Prix of India at Buddh International Circuit. Riding his Inde GASGAS Aspar Team Kalex, the British racer covered the 3.1-mile (5.0 km) course in 2:01.924 to top the field of 29 riders.

Championship point leader Pedro Acosta was second-best with a 2:01.956 on his Red Bull KTM Ajo Kalex, and Sergio Garcia claimed the third and final spot on the front row with a lap at 2:02.192 on his Pons Wegow Los40 Kalex.

Americans Joe Roberts and Sean Dylan Kelly (SDK) qualified eighth and 25th, respectively. Roberts did a 2:03.262 on his Italtrans Racing Team Kalex, and SDK recorded a 2:04.727 on his Forward Racing machine.
