MotoAmerica Supersport racer Sean Dylan Kelly is currently at the Algarve International Circuit, in Portimao, Portugal, on standby in case American Racing Team’s Marcos Ramirez is not fit to ride in this weekend’s round of the Moto2 World Championship.

Ramirez crashed during Moto2 Q1 on March 27 at Losail International Circuit, in Qatar, and broke his right humerus, the same bone Marc Marquez broke last year.

This would not be Kelly’s Moto2 World Championship debut. Kelly rode for American Racing Team in Moto2 at Valencia in 2019. He qualified 27th but crashed while running 28th in the race and DNF.
