Decision of the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel

GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA OAKLEY – Mugello (ITA), 03 June

On 03 June 2017 during the Moto3 FP3 session of the GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA OAKLEY, rider # 88 Jorge MARTIN was found to be riding slowly in more than 3 sectors in excess of the 110% limit of your fastest GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA OAKLEY sectors.

This contravenes the instructions that have been provided and is considered irresponsible riding causing danger to other competitors. It is therefore an infringement of Article 1.21.2 of the FIM Grand Prix World Championship Regulations.

For the above reasons and being the first offense since updated instructions were provided at the 2016 Motegi Grand Prix, the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel has imposed on Jorge MARTIN a Grid Penalty of 12 positions.

No appeal has been lodged; the decision of FIM MotoGP Steward is final.
