Moto3: Rookie Veijer Takes Career-First Pole, At Red Bull Ring

Rookie Collin Veijer took the first pole position of his career in FIM Moto3 World Championship qualifying Saturday at Red Bull Ring, in Spielberg, Austria. Riding his Liqui Moly Intact GP Husqvarna, Veijer lapped the 2.7-mile (4.3 km) course in 1:41.486 to top the field of 30 riders.

Daniel Holgado was second-fastest with a 1:41.543 on his Red Bull KTM Tech 3 machine, and Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Deniz Oncu claimed the third and final spot on the front row with a 1:41.591.
