Aftercare Scheibe Racing To Contest 2023 MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike Championship With Rider Ashton Yates

Iron Mountain, MI – Scheibe Racing is proud to announce that the team’s title sponsor Aftercare is back for 2023, and the official name for the 2023 team is Aftercare Scheibe Racing. Also, Superbike rider Ashton Yates is back for a second year with the team, and he will once again be aboard a BMW in the 2023 MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike Championship. The announcement was made by Steve Scheibe, owner of Aftercare Scheibe Racing.

“This is our 17th year of AMA Superbike racing and 9th year of racing BMW motorcycles,” said Scheibe. “We have developed our bikes over the years to often be in the top-five results and able to contend for podiums. The capability and reliability of our BMWs combined with BMW customer support and the support of our sponsors led by Aftercare, plus the talent of our returning rider Ashton Yates, will enable us to continue with new developments and keep improving in 2023.”

Yates, who was a Superbike rookie last year, finished 10th in the final standings of MotoAmerica’s premier class. His father Aaron and grandfather Luckey will once again be part of his crew.

“I’m super-excited to continue with Aftercare Scheibe Racing again this season,” Ashton Yates said. “This will be the first time I have raced a bike two seasons in a row, so I’m pumped to be starting the year on a bike I have time on for once, as well as having data from the previous season. I am looking forward to working with Steve again after we built a great relationship last year. We work great as a team, and I’m excited to have my dad and grandad make a return as a big part of the team, as well. Last season was a very enjoyable season for me and I’m very appreciative to have this opportunity to do it once more. It’s going to be a fun year for sure, and we are aiming to pick up right where we left off at round one in Atlanta.”

Aftercare has been involved in the powersports industry for more than three decades. The company offers a wide range of innovative finance and insurance products available at powersports dealerships throughout the U.S.

Julia McCarthy, President of Aftercare, commented, “We are so excited about this racing season. To partner with Scheibe Racing and support Steve, Ashton, and the team is an honor. Everyone at Aftercare works hard to deliver an unparalleled customer experience by offering manufacturers and consumers the protection they want and need for their powersports, ag, and marine equipment. Having the opportunity to participate in the MotoAmerica experience and sponsor such a fabulous team reminds us of the impact our work can have and how rewarding it is.”
