(Altus, OK) Altus Motorsports Supercharged Team is proud to announce its expansion into the Jr. Cup and Twins series. Joining our Team will be Draik Beauchamp, riding a Altus Motorsports, AP Moto Arts built Yamaha R3. Jason Madama, will be heading up the twins program on the Yamaha FZ07R custom built by Andy Palmer of AP Moto Arts.

The Jr. Cup is the 300cc-400cc displacement class featuring riders 14-25 years of age. Draik finished 5th last year in this class, which was then called the KTM RC390 Cup. With that 5th place finish, Draik got to travel and race in Jerez, Spain while representing the United States. Draik races in the WERA championship series when he is not racing in MotoAmerica. He won the Lightweight twins Championship in 2015. “I would really like to thank the Nassaneys and the whole Altus Motorsports team for reaching out to me for this opportunity. Just a little over a month ago I was pretty certain I wouldn’t see the MotoAmerica grid this season. Now, I am more focused and determined than ever before to show what I am capable of doing.” – Draik Beauchamp

The twins’ class is a new class introduced by MotoAmerica this season, based off of popular lightweight street models. This class will play host to several 600cc to 800cc twin-cylinder bikes, with a rule package designed to allow freedom to builders and smaller shops to make their own modifications and custom builds. We are honored to have Jason “Hammer” Madama riding our FZ07R this season. Jason has been racing since 2003. He has multiple lap records in MRA and USBA. Jason was the 500cc Cup Champion 2013-2014. The 400cc Cup Champion 2015-2016. In 2017, Jason impressively went undefeated in every race he rode in Colorado and Utah on the Zero E bike. He also was in the top 3 at every CVMA round attended in 2017 and set the small bike lap record going counter clockwise. Jason says, “Being a small bike specialist, the twins’ class should be a good step up from my usual R3. I would like to thank my personal sponsor, Conquest, for helping race in the MotoAmerica series this season.”

Both riders are excited to join teammates Miles Thornton and Jaret Nassaney. Altus Motorsports Supercharged Team feels this season will be a winning season with these talented riders on our team. Altus Motorsports will be participating in the Dunlop tire test held at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham Alabama March 26-27. This event is open to the public. Come out and meet the team. MotoAmerica kicks off April 13-15 at Road Atlanta.
