MotoAmerica: BARTCON Racing Donates To Answer The Call

© 2021, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc. From a press release issued By BARTCON Racing:

Originally, BARTCON Racing was scheduled to visit the New York Fire Department (NYFD) Ladder 10 firehouse at the World Trade Center, but due to heightened security with the present overseas climate our visit was canceled.

BARTCON Racing did, however, have the great pleasure of visiting NYFD Engine 7 Ladder 1 Battalion 1 firehouse just a few short blocks away from Ground Zero at Duane St.

Unfortunately due to the change of time and venue, Lauren [Profeta, Executive Director] from Answer The Call Foundation was unable to join us. Tosha Lackey, however, was kind enough to fill in for her in accepting a check for $2,000.00 for this most worthy foundation that looks after the widows and orphans of both the FDNY & NYPD [New York Police Department].

Big Thanks to Fire Fighter Frank Genco and Chief Michael Ajello for taking the time to show us around the house and making us feel very welcome. BARTCON Racing did not get a chance to visit any Police precincts but may still get a chance before we get down to the next round of MotoAmerica at New Jersey Motorsport Park.

Also big thanks to Robert Lackey for photos and video.
