MotoAmerica: Baz Tops Superbike Test Session One At COTA

Frenchman Loris Baz, riding his Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati New York Panigale V4 R, topped MotoAmerica Superbike/Stock 1000 test session one Tuesday morning at Circuit of The Americas (COTA).

Baz lapped the 3.4-mile course in 2:11.376 in spite of foggy conditions and some moisture on parts of the track early in the session.

The all-time MotoAmerica Superbike lap record for COTA is a 2:08.184 set by Roger Hayden on a Suzuki GSX-R1000 in 2017.

The MotoAmerica Superbike race lap record for COTA is 2:08.994, which was set by Josh Herrin on a Suzuki GSX-R1000 in 2019.

MotoAmerica has not raced or tested at COTA since 2019.
