Superstock 600 Champion Bryce Prince joins KWR for MotoAmerica Supersport campaign
TUCSON, Ariz. (Mar. 29) — Kyle Wyman Racing (KWR) is excited to announce the signing of 2016 MotoAmerica Superstock 600 champion Bryce Prince, to contest the 2018 Supersport championship. Prince will ride #74 Lucas Oil/KWR Yamaha YZF-R6 starting at round one at Road Atlanta, April 13-15, 2018.
Superbike racer and team owner Kyle Wyman saw an opportunity to bring Prince into the fold after he was left without a seat for 2018, and after a few short conversations, knew that there was a fit for him in the KWR camp.
“This is a unique deal for KWR after putting together my one-bike Superbike effort in 2017, and originally having plans to stay that way for 2018,” Wyman said. “Bryce is a really good guy who works hard, and I feel has earned this opportunity to showcase his talent. We share the same approach to this great sport and I respect that more than anything. I’m glad that we can give him a home at KWR, because I know he can fight for the championship in the MotoAmerica Supersport class.”
As for Prince, this partnership comes just in time and on the heels of his recent announcement of losing his ride for the 2018 season. Prince works for Gary Dean at Speed Demon Motorcycles part time, and already has established relationships with nearly every current KWR partner. The transition has been smooth as silk, and the tight time frame is no worry for two focused motorcycle racers.
“I am very thankful to have Kyle (KWR) and Gary (Speed Demon Motorcycles) on board to help me get back on a bike for the 2018 season,” said Prince, who will return to 600 competition after a 2017 Superstock 1000 campaign. “With extremely limited time to prepare, both of them have gone out of their way to make it happen. The amount of support I have received from them and everyone else in the industry has been huge. I have put all of my resources, time, and heart into making this happen and I am very excited to be able to be back on a 600 this season.”
