MotoAmerica: Chapin Quickest In Junior Cup Test Session One At Mid-Ohio

Matthew Chapin was quickest during MotoAmerica Junior Cup Test Session One Thursday morning at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, Ohio. Riding his BARTCON Racing Kawasaki Ninja 400 on Dunlop control tires, the current Championship point leader turned a time of 1:40.207 around the 2.4-mile course and led the field of 22 entries.

Wolfe Racing’s Ryan Wolfe was the best of the rest with a 1:40.931.

Reese Frankenfield, who is stepping up from MotoAmerica Mini Cup to make his Junior Debut this weekend, was third at 1:41.670.

Ice Barn Racing’s Solly Mervis was fourth with a 1:42.155.

Jayden Fernandez was ranked fifth at 1:42.180.

All competitors in Junior Cup are listed as riding Kawasaki Ninja 400s.
