MotoAmerica: Chapin Stays On Top In Junior Cup Test Session Two At Mid-Ohio

MotoAmerica Junior Cup Championship point leader Matthew Chapin topped Junior Cup Test Session Two Thursday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, Ohio. Riding his BARTCON Racing Kawasaki Ninja 400 on spec Dunlop tires, Chapin lowered his leading lap time from 1:40.207 in Session One to 1:38.026 in Session Two.

New York Safety Track’s Yandel Medina was the best of the rest with a 1:38.059.

Reese Frankenfield, who is making his Junior Cup debut this weekend, was third at 1:39.921.

Ice Barn Racing’s Solly Mervis did a fourth-fastest 1:39.940.

And Chapin’s teammate Eli Block rounded out the top five with a 1:40.042.

All competitors in the class are listed as riding Kawasaki Ninja 400s.
