ROSEVILLE, Calif. – We are pleased to announce that Cory Ventura is set to join the Omega Moto team for the 2019 MotoAmerica season. Ventura will campaign a Yamaha YZF-R6 package in the MotoAmerica Supersport Class.

“I am extremely grateful to Ken and the Omega Moto team for giving me this opportunity to race for their team in Supersport for 2019. After having to move up from the Junior Cup class I was trying to explore all my options one of them possibly going to race World Supersport 300 in Europe,” said Ventura. “Cameron Beaubier, who I am extremely close with, set up the meeting with Ken and we sat down for coffee and began to talk. After we spoke, my family and I went up to Roseville and sat down and had dinner, we were able to get closer with Ken and Omega Moto, and I was presented a contract for 2019.

“I would like to thank three main people that if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am today: Melissa [Paris], Josh [Hayes], and Cameron. I am so grateful for everything each one of them has done for me and look forward to continuing my relationship with Josh for my coaching on and off track.”

“We are very fortunate to have Cory involved with our team for next season. We are excited about fielding two riders with a lot of drive and determination. Cory brings a youthful amount of enthusiasm to the team and a hunger to learn and go against the best competition in the Supersport class,” commented team principal Ken Chewey. “We really got to know Cory and his entire family over the last few weeks. After my conversation with Cory and Beaubier over coffee, we invited Cory’s family up for a visit a few days before Christmas to have some fun and bond. We see how much potential Cory has and look forward to a long relationship. Our overall goal with Cory is have him put in his time and improve his race craft so we can eventually move him up into Superbike when the time is right.”

Cory Ventura and Cameron Petersen and the team are looking forward to pre-season testing in the coming months and look forward to a long relationship. To get all updates throughout winter testing and throughout the 2019 season follow the team on Instagram and Facebook @omegamoto.co
