Logan Cunnison will start the MotoAmerica Junior Cup races from pole position at Barber Motorsports Park, in Birmingham, Alabama. Riding his Speed Demon Racing Kawasaki Ninja 400 on Dunlop control tires, Cunnison lapped the 2.3-mile course in 1:37.417 during Qualifying One (Q1) on Friday, and that time held up as fastest through Saturday morning’s Qualifying Two (Q2).

Avery Dreher, the defending Junior Cup Champion, topped Q2 with a lap at 1:37.819 on his Bad Boys Racing Kawasaki, but that was only good enough for second when the times from both sessions were combined.

Yandel Medina, the winner of Junior Cup Race Two at Road Atlanta, earned the third and final spot on the front row with the 1:37.988 he did on his New York Safety Track Racing Kawasaki during Q1.

The 11-lap Junior Cup Race One is scheduled to start at 1:20 p.m. Central Time on Saturday.
