N2 Racing Signs Blake Davis for Two Years in MotoAmerica Junior Cup

Charleston, SC (May 2021) – N2 Racing is proud to announce the signing of 14-year-old Blake Davis to a two-year contract (2021-2022) to compete in the MotoAmerica Junior Cup Series. Blake will have the benefit of working under the experienced guidance of N2 Racing’s team manager Shiloh Salopek with logistical support provided by Emerson Amaya and BobbleHeadMoto.

“Our N2 team brings a lot of experience gained from running both MotoAmerica Supersport and the N2/WERA Endurance series at a high level,” said N2 Racing Owner Kris Smith. “We’ll now use that experience to focus on putting together a winning team in the MotoAmerica Junior Cup. Blake and Shiloh are both highly talented at what they do and I’m looking forward to watching our team compete for championships together.”

Blake started racing motocross at age three and quickly transitioned to asphalt at age six. Blake has won several Supermoto championships with SMEC and VIR Supermoto. In 2016, Blake turned 10 and was allowed to race full-size motorcycles with WERA. In 2017, Blake achieved Expert status and competed in 146 races with 87 podiums culminating in the 2017 WERA F2 National Championship on an RS125. In 2018 and 2019, Blake transitioned to a Yamaha YZF-R3 with multiple podiums, wins, and earned the AMA Youth Racer of the Year award and the Nicky Hayden Horizon Award. In 2020, Blake turned 14 and was allowed to turn his attention to professional road racing. Blake competed in seven MotoAmerica Junior Cup rounds with 12 top-10 finishes and a best finish of 6th three times. Blake is currently in the 8th grade at Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, VA.

“Getting this contract is really cool,” said Blake Davis. “It feels so good knowing that the team believes in me enough to extend our agreement for two years. I am excited for the opportunity and glad I get to race for two years with N2 Racing.”

N2 Racing motorcycles are prepared by BobbleHeadMoto with support from Westby Racing. Shiloh Salopek is the co-owner of BobbleHeadMoto and crew chief for N2 Racing. Shiloh can now focus on developing a motorcycle that Blake can win races and championships, secure that she has the time and resources critical for success.

“I’ve known Blake for five years now and I am very excited to finally have the opportunity to work with him on a professional level,” said N2 Crew Chief Shiloh Salopek. “This two-year commitment gives Blake and I the time, resources and stability we need to achieve something really special in the next two seasons of MotoAmerica Junior Cup.”
