Alessandro Di Mario was quickest during MotoAmerica BellissiMoto Twins Cup Qualifying One Friday afternoon at Barber Motorsports Park, in Birmingham, Alabama. Riding his Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering Aprilia RS 660, the 15-year-old lapped the 2.3-mile course in 1:28.269. Not only was that good enough to top the field of 34 entries by a wide margin, it also broke Kaleb De Keyrel’s 2022 All-Time Lap Record of 1:29.088.
Rocco Landers was second-best with a time of 1:30.224 on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki GSX-8R. He was able to ride back to the pits and continue in the session, which was interrupted by a red flag.
Dominic Doyle earned the third and final spot on the provisional front row with a 1:30.974 on his Giaccmoto Yamaha Racing YZF-R7.
