Alessandro Di Mario topped MotoAmerica BellissiMoto Twins Cup Qualifying One (Q1) Friday afternoon at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), in Austin, Texas. Riding his Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering Aprilia RS 660 on spec Dunlop tires, the 15-year-old lapped the scorching hot 3.4-mile road course in 2:17.742. That was 2.280 seconds faster than anyone else in the 34-rider field.

Rossi Moor was the best of the rest with a 2:20.022 on his Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-8R.

Dominic Doyle did a third-quickest 2:21.008 on his Giaccmoto Yamaha MT-07.

Di Mario’s teammate Gus Rodio was fourth with a 2:22.000.

Newly crowned MotoAmerica Junior Cup Champion Matthew Chapin rounded out the top five with a 2:22.181 on his BARTCON Racing Suzuki GSX-8R.
