Originally, the MotoAmerica Twins Cup class was scheduled to have a 20-minute Qualifying Session Two beginning at 8:30 a.m. local time at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, but the start of that session was delayed by heavy fog at the track. 

As a result, MotoAmerica officials reclassified the shortened 10-minute session as a “warm-up” and formed the Twins Cup grid based on the results from Qualifying Session One, putting Quarterley Racing Ducati’s Michael Barnes on pole position.

Also, MotoAmerica awarded provisional starting spots to several riders because they didn’t get their final chance to earn a spot on the grid.
