MotoAmerica: Ford CEO Goes For 160 MPH Ride On Dunlop ECSTAR Two-Seat Superbike At Road America

Ford Motor Company President and CEO Jim Farley went for a 160mph ride with former Superbike racer Chris Ulrich on the Dunlop ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R1000R two-seat Superbike during the MotoAmerica event this past weekend at Road America, and Farley was impressed with his experience.

“That was awesome!” said Farley, an active race car driver. “You know, the amazing thing for me is the turning. Man, you are really low! There was so much more grip than I expected. That was awesome!”

Farley attended the event as a guest of his friend Wayne Rainey, the President of MotoAmerica.

The Dunlop ECSTAR Two-Seat Superbike ride program is part of every MotoAmerica event and gives guests the opportunity to experience gravity-defying lean angles, the acceleration afforded by 200+ horsepower, top speeds up to and exceeding 160 mph, and more. In addition to sponsors, VIPs, celebrities, and members of the media, the rides are open to race fans for a donation to the Roadracing World Action Fund.

The Roadracing World Action Fund is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that works to prevent injuries at racetracks through advocating and facilitating the use of soft barriers, like those manufactured by Airfence and Alpina. To date, the Roadracing World Action Fund has raised over $2 million to purchase and deploy soft barriers at track days, road races, and dirt track races across America.
