Current Supersport Championship point leader Xavi Fores posted the fastest lap time during a special MotoAmerica Supersport session Thursday afternoon at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca intended to help prepare the newly repaved track and teams ahead of this weekend’s race event.

Riding his Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati Panigale V2, Fores circulated the historic 2.2-mile road course in 1:29.072, which is a little over two seconds slower than the fastest Supersport race lap time at Laguna Seca in 2022, Tyler Scott’s 1:26.985. Josh Herrin won both Supersport races last year at Laguna Seca on a Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati Panigale V2 and did a best lap time of 1:27.442.
