MotoAmerica: Hayes Fastest In Supersport Q1 At Ridge

Four-time AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes was fastest during MotoAmerica Supersport Qualifying One (Q1) Friday afternoon at Ridge Motorsports Park, in Shelton, Washington. Riding his Squid Hunter Racing Yamaha YZF-R6, Hayes led the 23-entry field with a lap time of 1:44.514.

Teagg Hobbs was second-best and just 0.008 second behind Hayes at 1:44.522 on his Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R750.

Xavi Fores, who like Hayes was riding at “The Ridge” for the first time ever Friday, was third-quickest with a 1:44.645 on his Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati Panigale V2.

Mallory Dobbs, Stefano Mesa, and Jaret Nassaney were not permitted to participate in Q1 as a penalty for violating pre-event testing rules.
