MotoAmerica: Hayes Quickest In Supersport FP1 At NJMP

Josh Hayes was quickest in MotoAmerica Supersport Free Practice One (FP1) Friday morning at New Jersey Motorsports Park, in Millville, New Jersey. Riding his Squid Hunter Racing Yamaha YZF-R6, Hayes turned a 1:24.461 on the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway course to lead the field of 28 riders.

Hometown hero Anthony Mazziotto was second-best with a 1:24.713 on his North East Cycle Outlet Racing Yamaha. Vision Wheel M4 Suzuki’s Tyler Scott was third-fastest at 1:24.844.

David Anthony ranked fourth with a 1:24.863 on his Wrench Motorcycles Suzuki GSX-R750. Jake Lewis rounded out the top five by turning a 1:25.329 on his Disrupt Racing Suzuki.

2023 MotoAmerica Supersport Champion Xavi Fores was sixth in the session with a time of 1:25.496 on his Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati Panigale V2. Fores is riding with injuries sustained during the Bol d’Or 24-hour World Endurance race last weekend.
