Herrin’s 1:47.980 took place under calm, warm skies and put him 0.383 seconds clear of the field heading into the Time Attack later in the day. Tyler Scott was second, ahead of Richard Cooper, with Richie Escalante and Joseph LiMandri Jr. completing the top five.
