Ashton Yates to Race in Both the MotoAmerica Superbike and Stock 1000 Championships for Jones Honda

Jones Honda Racing announces that 2024 MotoAmerica Superbike Cup winner Ashton Yates is back with the team for a fourth season, and the Georgian, who is a third-generation racer and one of MotoAmerica’s best and brightest talents, will pull double duty this season.

Yates will contest both the premier MotoAmerica Superbike Championship and also the Stock 1000 Championship. With support from American Honda, Yates and the team will have two Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP motorcycles, with one dedicated to Superbike and the other earmarked for Stock 1000. The announcement was made by Darrell Jones, owner of Jones Honda.

“I’m really excited to get this season underway with the Jones Honda crew, and to be back on the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP,” says Ashton Yates. “The 2024 season was great for Jones Honda and myself. I’m eager to start 2025 right where we left off at New Jersey in September—fast and fighting for race wins. I’m blessed to have a team like Jones Honda and Darrell behind me. We had tons of fun last year and it’s the family atmosphere that really brings enjoyment to the race weekends. My training has been nonstop this off-season, keeping me sharp and ready to get after it. Looking forward to this year and seeing how it shapes up.”

Darrell Jones and his family have been an integral part of motorcycle racing for more than four decades. Also, Jones Honda Powerhouse, located in Columbia, Missouri, is run by Darrell’s son Austin and Austin’s wife Megan. In addition, Darrell’s son Cameron and Cameron’s wife Callie have their own racing business called CJR Performance, which is located in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

“Racing has been a part of our family and our business for more than 40 years, and we’re as passionate about it today as we were when we first started,” commented team owner Darrell Jones. “Ashton Yates is an exceptional talent, and we’re thrilled to have him back with Jones Honda for a fourth season. Taking on both the Superbike and Stock 1000 Championships is no small task, but we believe in Ashton, our team, and the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. And, with the support of American Honda, we’re ready to make this a standout year on the track.”

Ashton Yates and Jones Honda Racing are supported by HJC Helmets, Spidi, Jones Honda Powerhouse, Progressive Insurance, Honda Pro Oils and Chemicals, CJR Performance, American Honda, Yates Racing, GP Tech Racing LLC, Hindle Exhaust, Zero Gravity Racing, Vortex EK, Evol Technology LLC, SBS Brakes, Braketech, Idemitsu, and Woodcraft.
