MotoAmerica: Jacobsen Tops Superbike FP1 At Laguna Seca

PJ Jacobsen was quickest in MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike Free Practice One (FP1) Friday morning at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, in Monterey, California. Riding his Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW M 1000 RR, the New York native lapped the newly repaved road course in 1:24.029.

Mexican rider Richie Escalante was a close second with a 1:24.047 on his Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R1000R.

In spite of riding with a broken right ankle, Josh Herrin was third-fastest with a time of 1:24.111 on his Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati Panigale V4 R.

The top six riders in the session were separated by just 0.245 second.
