Kyle Wyman injured at Laguna Seca

First Person/Update:

With my typing fingers restricted, I’m coming to you from my rental car as my Dad drives myself and Hannah up to San Jose for surgery on my left scaphoid. I was injured in a crash Saturday after being taken out in the first corner of Superbike race one. Words can’t express how bummed I am to have not turned a race lap this weekend, after making big progress on Friday with the Panigale V4 R. I want to thank Cycle Gear for their continued support of my program and it’s very unfortunate that I could not finish up the weekend with them as title sponsor.

We have four weeks until our next round at Sonoma Raceway, and I am told this injury will take four weeks to heal. I will have a more detailed prognosis after surgery this morning and will send updates. Sonoma may be tough, but I’m really targeting being strong for some of my better tracks that finish the season, like Pittsburgh, New Jersey and Barber.

Thank you to everyone who is supporting and believing in this program! If you’re on this email list then you know enough that I won’t be giving up, and will work hard to recover and come back stronger. We’re only getting started.

Thank you all for the continued support,

Kyle Wyman
