Kyle Wyman Racing team heading to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with Motovation USA

MONTEREY, Calif. — The KWR Superbike team will return to action at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif. this coming weekend for the sixth round of the MotoAmerica series. Kyle Wyman will ride the Motovation USA/Lucas Oil/KWR Superbike as he chases a podium result in front of the world stage.

MotoAmerica will be sharing the venue with the World SBK championship, a once-a-year occasion where the two production based racing series have a chance to compare with one another. MotoAmerica will have shortened practice time but the same two-race format on the schedule.

“It’s a privilege to be coming back to Laguna Seca and sharing the weekend once again with World Superbike,” Wyman said. “It’s a great opportunity to watch and learn what the best in the world are doing, and to try to create some good results ourselves. After our strong showing at Utah, I’m confident that we can fight for the podium this weekend with continued backing from Motovation USA.”

With Laguna Seca begins the second half of the MotoAmerica series, being the 6th of 10 total rounds. After Wyman’s emergence as a consistent top-5 Superbike rider in the first half of this season, the New Yorker is looking within himself to come up with the extra speed to compete with the factory teams.

“Right now I feel we are on the verge of another breakthrough,” Wyman added. “As a team we have worked out a lot of the kinks in the beginning of the season that were holding us back. In order to be competitive in Superbike you need to be mistake free from the very first moments of practice. I feel that we’ve found our footing with the bike, and now it’s going to be up to me to find the extra boost that is going to have us tagging onto the big teams.”

BeIN Sports will be televising the championship this weekend with LIVE coverage of Superpole qualifying as well as both Superbike races. Dates and times are here, and if you do not have BeIN Sports Network, you can subscribe online through Fubo.TV for only $15/mo.
