MotoAmerica: Landers Breaks Lap Record In Twins Cup Q1 At NJMP

Rocco Landers earned provisional pole position during MotoAmerica REV’IT! Twins Cup Qualifying One (Q1) Friday afternoon at New Jersey Motorsports Park, in Millville, New Jersey. Riding his Robem Engineering Aprilia RS 660, Landers lapped the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway course in 1:24.659, which was not only more than one second faster than anyone else it was also quicker than Jody Barry’s All-Time Lap Record of 1:24.737 from 2022.

Championship point leader Gus Rodio was the best of the rest with a 1:25.668 on his Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering Aprilia, and defending Champion Blake Davis claimed the third and final spot on the provisional front row with a time of 1:26.493 on his N2 Racing/BobbleHeadMoto Yamaha YZF-R7.

Riders provisionally qualifying on row two included Team Iso Yamaha’s Dominic Doyle (1:27.026), Trackday Winner/Blackmon Racing Yamaha’s Jackson Blackmon (1:27.027), and Rodio’s teammate Ben Gloddy (1:27.224).
