Rocco Landers destroyed the class lap record during MotoAmerica REV’IT! Twins Cup Qualifying One (Q1) Friday afternoon at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Riding a Rodio Racing – Powered by Robem Engineering Aprilia RS 660 in place of injured Ben Gloggy, Landers lapped the 2.5-mile, 12-turn course in 1:31.907, smashing Landers’ old lap record of 1:33.338, which he held since he won the Twins Cup Championship in 2020.
Jody Barry was second-quickest with a 1:32.857 on his Optimum Performance Motorsports Aprilia RS 660.
Defending Twins Cup Champion Blake Davis earned the third and final spot on the provisional front row with a 1:33.213 on his N2 Racing/BobbleHeadMoto Yamaha YZF-R7.
