Jeremy McWilliams snagged pole position during MotoAmerica Mission Super Hooligan qualifying Saturday at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Riding his Progressive Insurance/Mission Foods Indian FTR 1200, McWilliams did a 1:30.265 to lead the 19-rider field in Qualifying Two (Q2) in chilly conditions Saturday morning. That was not as quick as the Ulsterman went Friday, 1:29.298, which held up to get him pole position for both of this weekend’s race.
Andy DiBrino will start second on his DiBrino Racing KTM 890 Duke R based on the 1:30.225 he did on Friday. McWilliams’ teammate, defending Champion Tyler O’Hara went quicker Saturday (1:30.501) than he did Friday (1:30.661) and he will start from the the third and final spot on the front row of the grid.
Veteran Superbike racer Larry Pegram, age 50, who is filling in for Bobby Fong on the Roland Sands Design (RSD) Indian FTR 1200, qualified fourth with a 1:31.323.
