Rossi Moor #92 Wins Final MotoAmerica MiniCup by Motul Round at Ridge Motorsports Park and Secures Championship

The ForzaGP Snipers Junior Team rider won the 160cc and 190cc classes and secured the premier class overall 2020 championship.

Seattle, Washington – Rossi Moor (Portland, OR) claimed his final MiniCup victories of 2020 during round three at Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington. Entering the 160cc class again, after missing round two due to mechanical issues, Moor pushed from beginning to end to overcome his height and weight disadvantage and claim victory. In the 190cc premier class, Moor put his technical proficiency on display at the tight and challenging track, winning both the heat and main races.

Similar to rounds one and two, Rossi Moor was fastest in qualifying, secured pole position, and won the heat and main races. Aside from missing the 160cc class in round two, Moor was unbeaten in every session and race—a stellar accomplishment competing against the nation’s most talented youth road racers.

ForzaGP Snipers Junior Team rider, Eli Banish made solid progress all weekend. He ultimately finished P7 in the 190cc class after putting in consistent :43s and battling with Jayden Fernandez. The Kentucky rider showed he has the potential to be a frontrunner in the very near future.

Rossi Moor was happy with the weekend. “It was a very successful weekend for our team. I was excited to learn the new track and race both the 160cc and 190cc classes. My training has prepared me for tight and technical layouts, so I was confident going into the weekend. The ForzaGP Snipers Junior team 190cc has been solid all year, and with the addition of Hot and Hazardous tech, Adam Black, we were able to get the bike very dialed in.

“The 160cc class is always unpredictable and challenging because I’m getting a bit big now. Mikey showed great pace, but I was able to push hard in the corners and maintain enough of a gap to keep him behind me on the straights. In the 190cc main, I got a poor start but then it was red flagged and we had a restart. The second chance allowed me to get one of the best starts of my life! I put my head down and never looked back.”

Rossi Moor secured the overall number one plate for the premier 190cc class becoming the first MiniCup Premier Class champion. He is looking forward to competing in Europe again for the remainder of 2020 in CEV and CIV on the Aprilia RS250 SP and the Honda NSF250R.

ForzaGP founder, Nathan Fitzgerald commented; “Rossi is an exceptional talent, and a young athlete Americans should keep their eye on and be very proud of. MotoAmerica knocked it out of the park with the MiniCup by Motul. It introduced Rossi Moor to a national audience and created new fans. We have more planned for him this year in Europe. Between Stefano Favaro and me, and very enthusiastic supporters in the US, we are confident we can help Rossi reach his goal of being an American MotoGP champion.”

A very special ‘thank you’ to MotoAmerica and Rise Moto for their dedication to American road racing.
