Newcomer Filippo Rovelli was fastest in MotoAmerica REV’IT! Twins Cup Free Practice One (FP1), his first session ever riding at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. On board his Team Iso Yamaha YZF-R7, the 22-year-old Italian lapped the 2.2-mile course in 1:35.891 to lead the field of 32.

Hayden Schultz was best of the rest with a 1:36.811 on his Cycle Tech Yamaha YZF-R7, and former class Champion Chris Parrish, age 46, was third with a lap of 1:39.092 on his Ghetto Customs Yamaha.

The racing surface at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca was recently repaved and this morning it was extra tricky due to overnight rain and moisture in the air from low-hanging clouds.
