Jay Newton to ride the Altus Factory Built Ninja 400 at The Brickyard MotoAmerica Round

(Altus, OK)  Jay Newton will be stepping in for the injured Daniel Kinard at Round 8 of the MotoAmerica Championship in Indianapolis. Newton is a talented rider with significant experience in the Junior Cup Class. Although he did not compete last year, he finished the 2018 season 3rd in points with five podiums and a win.

Like many of the other riders in the class, Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be a new track for Newton and he will be spending the next few weeks preparing for it. His goal is to arrive at the event and put up a good result for the team.

“I’m excited for this opportunity and to be back on the Junior Cup grid. The competition this year is tough and I am looking forward to seeing what I can do. Big thanks to the Altus team and also to Robb at Moto Talbott for helping make this happen,” said Jay Newton.

“Jay has been on our radar for years. We’ve wanted to put something together for awhile but it never seemed to quite work out. When we found out Daniel wasn’t going to be able to ride we reached out to see if Jay would be up for it. I’m excited to see him back on the track at the national level and glad we can be a part of it,” said Team-owner George Nassaney.
