KWR Ducati Team ready for Road Atlanta with title sponsor One Cure CSU

TUCSON, Ariz. (July 28) — The KWR Ducati Team heads to Road Atlanta this coming weekend for the third round of the MotoAmerica Superbike championship. Kyle Wyman will ride the #33 One Cure/KWR Ducati Panigale V4 R as he chases more podium results. Wyman sits 4th in season standings going into this third round with four top-5 finishes and two podiums as the previous round at Road America.

“So far we’ve enjoyed our first two rounds in Wisconsin to kick off our delayed start to 2020, but I’m pumped to go down south to another great track in Atlanta for our third round,” Wyman said. “We are racing for One Cure this weekend thanks to the generosity of One Cure fans and supporters David and Maxine Pierce. None of us like cancer, and David and Maxine are helping me to raise awareness, and funds, as we race for One Cure to help all cancer patients.”

“The answer to cancer may be walking right beside us in our canine companions, because cancer is the same between the species, down to the cellular level. That means, what works for pets with cancer may work for us, too. I’m all about speeding toward One Cure, and with Ducati horsepower I hope we can help them get there faster!”

One Cure is an initiative at the Colorado State University Flint Animal Cancer Center. Because cancer is the same, whether you have two legs or four, their mission to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer in pets also benefits people. Learn more at this link.

When the KWR team kicked off the season in 2019, they had done so with a freshly uncrated Ducati Panigale V4 R with no development time. The team raced a nearly stock motorcycle at the first round last year which was just the beginning of the Ducati journey. Wyman will return to Atlanta to develop the Panigale V4 R around what will essentially be a new circuit for the bike.

“Last year when we kicked off the season in Atlanta, it was the first time I’d actually ridden the bike,” Wyman said. “We have come such a long way since April of 2019, with my riding as well. What we have now with our Ducati package is so far from what we raced here last year that it’s virtually like never riding here, so we will have some work to do on Friday to get our electronic maps dialed in to circuit, but the chassis setup should be a really good base for us to get up to speed quickly.”

How to keep up with the One Cure/KWR Ducati Team:

Friday practice starts at 11:20am EST, with LIVE coverage on MotoAmerica Live+ streaming. Both race one and race two on Saturday and Sunday will be LIVE on Fox Sports 1 (FS1) at 3:00pm EST each day.
