The ’80s, Baby, Return For MotoAmerica’s Pittsburgh Round

The Championship Of Pittsburgh To Feature A 1980s Theme

COSTA MESA, CA (August 17, 2018) – Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Brothers, Macintosh, the Sony Walkman, VHS, Ronald Reagan, the Yugo, recession, MTV, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Madonna, Chariots of Fire, Rainman, E.T., Top Gun, cable TV, HBO, the Golden Girls, the Love Boat… the mullet. Welcome back to the 1980s, MotoAmerica-style, as the Championship of Pittsburgh will feature an ‘80s theme for the eighth round of the 2018 MotoAmerica Series at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex, August 24-26.

MotoAmerica’s Championship of Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh International Race Complex will feature an ’80s theme, August 24-26, for round eight of the series.

In addition to five classes of racing (Motul Superbike, Supersport, Liqui Moly Junior Cup, Twins Cup and Stock 1000) on track at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, round eight of the series will also feature off-track activities aimed directly at remembering the 1980s. From a 1980s dress-up party to a live band on Saturday night, to a Wet Banana Slide, the Ball of Death/Stunt Show, a car show, food trucks, beer tasting, tailgating and camping, the Championship of Pittsburgh promises to have it all.

Oh, and don’t forget the mullet because this is all about “Business in the Front, Party in the Back” where we can all bring out our inner Joe Dirt (and Jake Lewis). Who knows, there may even be a contest where you can compare your locks with Lewis, the M4 ECSTAR Suzuki rider who has proudly sported a mullet all season long.
