Yamaha Previews Activities Scheduled For This Weekend’s International Motorcycle Show In Long Beach

Cypress, CA – November 15, 2016 – Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., will display its 2017 model lineup–including the refined, redesigned, and remarkable YZF-R6–this weekend at the International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA.

Other models on display include the 2017 FZ-10, FZ-09, SCR950, and several “Yard Built” custom bikes, including a reimagined VMAX, XSR900, SCR950, and SR400.

Also on display will be two-time and defending MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier’s #1 Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Factory Racing YZF-R1 Superbike, MotoAmerica Supersport Champion Garrett Gerloff’s #1 Yamaha Extended Service/Graves/Yamaha R6, and two-time AMA Supercross West Champion Cooper Webb’s #1 Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha YZ250F.

Meet Yamaha bLU cRU Racing Champions Cameron Beaubier, Garrett Gerloff, and Cooper Webb

Friday from 6:00 to 6:45 PM and again on Saturday from 11:15 AM to 12:00 Noon, 2016 MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier, 2016 MotoAmerica Supersport Champion Garrett Gerloff, and 2016 AMA Supercross West Champion Cooper Webb will be signing autographs and greeting fans at the Yamaha Display Area. Free posters will be provided for the riders to sign and hand out to fans in attendance.

Take A Ride On A New Yamaha

Demo rides will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center parking lot on Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and on Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM. You’ll be able to take a demo ride aboard a 2017 Yamaha FZ-10, SCR950, or any of the following 2016 models: V Star 1300 Deluxe, Stryker, FJR1300ES, FJR1300A, Super Ténéré, YZF-R1S, Bolt R-Spec, XSR900, FZ-09, FJ-09, FZ-07, YZF-R6, or YZF-R3.

To take a ride, you’ll need a valid motorcycle license (permits are not allowed), a DOT-approved helmet, long pants, enclosed shoes, a shirt, and eye protection. To ride an FZ-10 or R1S, you also must be at least 25 years of age.
